A Bit About Me

I have previously worked with topics related acute exercise-induced fatigue in the central nervous system and muscles. These topics have covered different aspects of fatigue trying to reveal whether acute drop in sports performance is related to factors in the brain, spinal cord, muscles or proprioceptive feedback. I have also done research related to wearable technology and its use in monitoring wellbeing. More specifically studying how physical or psychological stress affect the functioning of the autonomic nervous system (ANS) and how it is measured with heart rate variability.


In my PhD I’m trying clarify how acute physical exercise affects brain activity measured with EEG/MEG. I am also interested how these brain activity measures relate to subjective feelings of mood/arousal and the functioning of ANS. In other words, I’m trying to clarify whether brain activity can provide information of the state of the individual in a psychological and/or physiological context.
